Summer at last
Finally the weather has settled to the temperature and feel that we expect in May. The month has been strange to say the least with the affects of (dare I mention) volcanic ash taking it’s toll on the island and its people.
Also this month Antonia and Manolo’s daughter sang with the Lluc Monastery choir in Palma cathedral. A momentous evening for the whole family.
When in the restaurant last week Manolo proudly offered the most huge fresh fish that had been caught that day. Yum!

Easter sunshine in Mallorca
The sun is shining, the fish are fresh and the Easter processions are wonderful. Come and make the most of the Easter sunshine and enjoy the fresh fish caught in the bay.

Fresh Cakes!

Popped in to say hello to Antonia and Manolo today. So happy I did as a fresh sponge cake with peaches had just been presented by Chef and I had a slice. My compliments it was tasty and juicy.

Spring is here – or is it?
It seems hard to believe that only last week people were sunbathing. Yesterday thick snow flakes were falling all morning and the dual carriageway was closed for a few hours because there was a white out and it was impossible to see to drive. This is a first for me here in Mallorca.
Today it is cold, 3º as I sit here looking at the snow capped mountains. The great thing about Mallorca is that we all know it could be 20º and sunny tomorrow or the next day.

Mallorca Wine!
What is your favourite wine from Mallorca? At the moment my favourite white is Cornet Blanc. The vineyard nestles amongst the sheltered areas of Mallorcas’ cliffs. Access is difficult following goats paths around the cliffs that overlook the sea and the only access to the vines is by donkey. Imagine that!

January break!
This is the time of year where we all have the opportunity to recover from the busy summer. Cocodrilo Restaurant is closed for holidays until the end of the month. If you are passing by you may see us painting and making general improvements so do say hello.
